Wednesday 9 May 2012: Green Mountain College Campus
Poultney, Vermont.
The college campus is quite busy despite how it looks here in the photograph. Saturday is graduation day which means anything that needs doing in downtown Poultney needs to be done by tomorrow!
My vacuum had heart failure today. Parts started dropping off of it and then smoke wafted daintily into the air. The issue here is that this is India the Newf's favorite chore. Her job is to always police the vacuum - and not just any vacuum - the Hoover. If I don't bring it into the bedroom at night she whines and curls up next to it in the living room. Same in the AM - must move it from the bedroom back.
So despite having been up near Home Cheapo Depot yesterday, I headed back there today to buy a bottom of the line machine. I don't do well with these little devils. The expensive ones seem to have shorter lives than the cheaper and I can kill one pretty easily with all the pet hair in the house.
So exhausted and need to prep some breakfast meals for the dogs and then fall into bed. I will be back to commenting on Monday and I do apologize but I have been flat out and have been doing work to leave my weekend free for an ever so lovely, ever so dashing house guest due to arrive Friday. Hopefully India won't greet my guest too wildly! and hopefully she will get bored quickly and go off to her spot by the now deceased Hoover.
