Thursday 10 May 2012: Freedom
'Look mister,' his words were being pushed out with a titanic effort, each syllable laced with doubt and fear, 'I don't think you can stop me walking across your land. It's free land!' And with these last words out with a force he had never before managed, he waited, JoJo, his little Irish terrier, waiting patiently too and the landowner stood looming high above them both, his heavy demeanour threatening and mean.
A pause effected the very movement of the day.
'I will do as I please,' the man declared with a bombacity learnt over a lifetime of form.
Darkness filled the day. Only the spoken words of truth left a trail of light. There was nothing else.
