Thursday 10 May 2012: Flock You!

Pink flamingos have become a joke as yard decorations in recent years - the height of schlock and poor taste, unless it's done in just the right way. Now apparently you can send someone a whole flock instead of flowers for a special occasion. This display is around the corner from us - Liza and I discovered it on our scoot today. Definitely giggle-worthy.

From the website: Think Pink! Flamingo Flocking is 100% pink plastic. They do not eat your grass or make a mess. They are trained to stay put and do not migrate until we come, to pick them up. They are simply there to visit for a couple of days because someone likes you. Another sign alongside the You've Been Flocked one politely asks passersby to please not steal the flamingos, as they're visiting this yard.

Have a LARGE look. They're decorated quite nicely.
