Thursday 10 May 2012: A blue Jay

This is probably the same Jay I photographed the other day on the nut feeder.

Today he looks a bit like I feel - fed up with the cold and wet weather. He sat on the branch with his feathers fluffed out looking like he was trying to keep warm. I got several images and had difficulty deciding which to blip; others have better eye contact but this one shows off the plumage best I think.
