Thursday 10 May 2012: WET
Having had a good night's sleep I was unaware, until I drove to work, that it must have been raining all night. The fields to either side of the road were waterlogged and the clouds, in the sky, showed no sign of dispersing.
As the day wore on the rain persisted and as I drove home it was dubious as to whether I would get back into the village as the water had, by that time, covered the road. I drove through it in a cold sweat but managed to make it, safely, to the other side. I was more than glad to reach home.
I took this photograph on my break at work. I felt very sorry for him out there in the very inclement weather.
