Friday 11 May 2012: Safely green

A green shield bug - safe with a shield! There's been three of these in the same place over the last week or so, one female & two males, so soon to be several more I guess! :) They always look so grumpy... yet this one was in prime position in the sunlight today, sheltered from the wind.
I counted 14 blue damselflies today, all newly hatched from the pond & 3 broad bodied chasers, one I missed leaving, the other I saw take off & the third was still straightening out her wings before she left her watery home.
Sunshine tomorrow. Shame I'm ill & full of cold!!! Typical!
