Saturday 12 May 2012: Sophora Dragons Gold

A lovely sunny day after a couple of gloomy day's .... I found the Kowhai has just started flowering it seems a bit early this year.

The Dragons Gold is a low growing native kowhai growing to around 1.5m.
It has deep yellow flowers, almost hidden in the foliage, in winter.
