Saturday 12 May 2012: Weir on the Wear.
Wall to wall blue sky and sunshine made a fantastic start to the day. We headed off early to Durham and my wonderful blip assistant took me to this "iconic view" - his words, bless him. I offered him my old camera but he declined and was happy to find good blipspots for me. The water levels are really high after all the rain and the weir was causing a lot of turbulence. We strolled along the river bank for almost 2 hours - we love this place.
