Saturday 12 May 2012: Putting Jesus straight

This morning was Operation Big Clean-Up in the village church.
It's been closed for renovation for the last year, but now the work (we can afford for the moment) is done and there'll be a service on Thursday, Ascension Day, so all the dust and remaining rubble had to be cleared and paintings and sculptures put back in place.
Take or leave the religious aspect, I go along and help simply because this is the place where generations of people have baptised their young, married, prayed for help in desperate times and said adieu to their loved ones. There's a whole lot of history in there.

And now it has been recorded for posterity ... it takes three (look closely) Frenchmen to put one Jesus straight!

Thank you so so much for all your blipday wishes! It'll take me all week to get back to you all individually, but I'll do my best! You're all brill!
