O is for ..... opening orange poppy!!

This looks so weird doesn't it? The flower will last just one day and all the petals are crumpled up inside the hairy bud case. Loads of these now ready to flower in the garden.

Managed to spend some time out in the garden today, planting up some bedding plants and potting on some other stuff. Also managed to ignore the untidiness in the rest of the garden - if you squint it looks nice and green!

Been a lovely day here today. Still a bit chilly round the edges but lovely to see the sunshine. Hoping for another fine day tomorrow.
