Strix Nebulosa.

We have been zooing it the past 2 days, hence the absence.

We visited a place called "Nordens Ark" which is a zoo, (although nothing about it feels like a zoo)which specialises in preserving and breeding endangered species native to northern climates (or climates similar to that of Scandanavia) in addition to research and education and efforts to disseminate knowledge about biological diversity.

We arrived early in the afternoon and managed to scoot very quickly around the park before closing time. This fine chap was sitting pretty for us to admire. Posing quite the thing.

I had the wonderful joy of photographing him through a wire mesh but I am still pleased with the outcome.
