Mother's Voice

My mother had a strong faith and a sweet spirit. She was a woman with deep convictions and a gentle voice. Her tone carried a kindness that brought people close and made them feel important. Her voice allowed children she taught to dream -- and then achieve. It allowed friends to feel special and assured family she loved them unconditionally. And while her tone was soft, there was no weakness in her manner. She made the world better. I hear her voice. I hold it within me, especially on Mother' Day.

"There is no greater index of character so sure as the voice."
~ Benjamin Disraeli
