Sunday 13 May 2012: Ceanothus

We planted this ceanothus about 25 years ago.

Heavy snow in recent winters has taken its toll so it's glory days are over and we don't expect it to be with us for much longer.

I love the shade of blue which is much deeper than a lot of ceanothus we see.

I was surprised to see just how many varieties there are.
