Sunday 13 May 2012: Homage to Mijbil
I love otters. Comes with the territory growing up where I did.
I come from the same area as the author Gavin Maxwell lived for some time. He wrote the book Ring of Bright Water, an autobiographical book telling stories of him and his marsh otter Mijbil which he brought back from a trip to Iraq and subsequent otters which he owned.
Lovely creatures, so playful and more than willing to play for the camera.
