Sunday 13 May 2012: Castleton
A quick post before I throw myself into ironing uniforms, packing lunches and nagging kids into the shower...
We went to Castleton in the Peak District today. We walked miles up steep hills, saw LOTS of sheep, peered into caves and had Mr Whippy ice creams in the sunshine. My kind of day out! Bright blue sky, wide open green spaces and sunshine. We're tired now, but it's that 'good' tired, where you feel like you've really done something with your day.
I took lots of kid shots (they spent the day rolling down hills) and a few landscapes, but I thought I'd use this (makeup free - yikes!) shot. Paul took it, and it proves that I am rather fond of the stupid cable-chewing hound after all. Note the fingers through the collar though - Barney isn't to be trusted, especially near fields of newborn lambs ;)
Edit - yep, I've changed this. Found this shot later and liked it more x
