Today was Mother's Day in the states. So we got up and made the lovely drive out to the country to spend the day with my folks. I gave her a pot of fragrant white hyacinths. We had a good southern meal of beans and cornbread, rice, collard greens and sweet potatoes with chocolate pie for dessert. We caught up on my travels and life in general and had a great visit.
Here is a picture of my beautiful Mother as a young girl.
Later, I hope I will be collecting some final documents for my taxes and making some art, but I am not sure as I am also to be reunited with my cats and dog!
