Sunday 13 May 2012: Mother's Day Balloons

Loving Husband graciously agreed to wake up at 5:00AM to go with me to Wellington Polo grounds where 19 hot air ballons inflated and floated on tethers this morning, to raise money for wounded veterans. We had never seen that many together at once- it was amazing- it was hard to decide which one to watch and where to be (they allowed everyone to walk around wherever thay wanted). They also gave short rides up and down (while tied up) to people who bought tickets.
you may notice the burners firing in 3 of the balloons seen here, as they heated up the air inside the balloons to make them rise.
Later in the day, Jand N and M visited and stayed for dinner, and W joined us after work.
