Monday 14 May 2012: Day's End

Walking out to head to the railway station, I glanced behind me (to the West), and saw some beautiful orange in the clouds. I turned around and went thataway. As I started to clear the hospital I saw the deep orange of the sun's sinking disk, so quickened my pace. To get this I stood on a bench by the roadside. No time to check settings overmuch: the focus on this was literally done by feel; with my glasses on, the viewfinder was useless in that regard, so I just nudged it back a little from infinity hoping the trees would be sharp enough. I think it worked. 8)

And I still made my train.

Here it is large.
