Awash

There was a high sea warning today. This view doesn't really show it looking across Bar Beach to Dixon Park and Merewether beyond but believe me, they were high and it wasn't even high tide.

The surfers could have caught waves on the Children's pool and as for the baths, huge wave broke across the back of them and rushed up to the changing rooms. This image shows some people who were watching the action and the waves breaking against the stands. The stands would be at least 3 metres high and well back from the rock platform where the waves would normally be breaking. The starting blocks were completely underwater. I have never seen it this high even in the high seas last year. Some poor woman who was behind these people got completely drenched as did her camera. She said it was not too good. Crikey! Oh and still SOC.
