Tuesday 15 May 2012: Shadow on the Mack

Early morning shot of the east façade of the Mackintosh Building at the Glasgow School of Art. I love the sheer scale and drama that is created from this view. The shadows created by the tenement chimney stacks are so balanced and add to the moody atmosphere.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a genius, and no wonder the Mackintosh Building at the School of Art was voted the best British-designed building of the past 175 years in an RIBA poll.
