Day 19 - Flagstaff, AZ to Las Vegas, NV

Woke up to more snow! Coffee and organic breakfasts In nearby Macy's coffee shop (very knit your own tofu - Flagstaff is that kind of town). Hit the road and drove through more snowy weather before the clouds broke and blue skies almost emerged. Stopped at the Hoover Dam for a quick look (having done similar on the honeymoon tour all those years ago). Shortly after the skyline came into view and we were arriving in Las Vegas. Hit the strip and after leaving the car with the valet boys for the last time we checked into the Aria hotel (swanky).

Walked through the City Center complex, Bellagio, Caesars and Mirage before settling on Thomas Kellers bistro in the Venetian for dinner. Fantastic food. Failed miserably at roulette in Harrahs so headed back to the Aria for an early night.

Weird being here near Christmas and in cooler weather. A few changes noticeable already - it's an ever evolving city. Restaurants and hotels come and go. More homeless people noticeable. That's Vegas for you - mad as usual.
