Summer Solstice

Another great day today - breakfast of brioche french toast was followed by our camping shopping, and it's really good to have all of that done already!

It was a very hot day at about 34 degrees, but we realised that the hole that I dug yesterday for Miles' tree wasn't in a very good spot, so I spend a sweaty hour or so creating another pit in our clay soil for the tree to go into.

It feels fitting to have planted the tree on Solstice, for all the hippiness inside of me.

Having said that, nothing says hot Christmas more than an inflatable Santa in his boardies with the Southern Cross in the background, so here's our contribution to the street's festivities.
