The Guilty Pukeko

Caught !  I wondered who was making deposits of the obnoxious kind on my bird watching seat on the beach........the pesky Pukeko (that's what Freddie thinks of them, not me). When I appeared there were four lined up on the seat who quickly vamoosed leaving their calling cards....except this fellow who decided to casually stroll down the beach. Pukeko often spend time fossicking in the seaweed on the beach for krill and other edibles - leave fantastic patterns on the sand with their great big feet, must try and capture some of that - after I've finished scrubbing down the seat of course !
