Floating in the fish pond

Big day in the garden today and when I was watering the garden I spied a wattle flower floating in the fish pond. It is the same shape as a pohutukawa flower but very much smaller. It had to be my blip this close to Christmas – but in focusing on the flower I noticed that if I didn’t I got the shape of the water in a way that appealed to me. So much so I want to paint it as the colours are beautiful as well as the lines within the image.

Today would have been Mum and Dad’s 57th wedding anniversary – Happy anniversary Mum and Dad. I miss you.
