Wednesday 16 May 2012: And then there was one

The two ducklings I spotted on Monday in Maxwell Park are now down to one little hardy fellow. I went back this morning to see if I could get a better shot of the moorhen chicks but they were nowhere to be seen. I hope they haven't croaked too. I have a feeling the heron might be responsible. He had a beady devilish look in his eye.

If you're following hope you don't mind the randomness of my shots this week. Seem to be attracted to street shots/ candids some days and cute ducklings others :-) If you look closely you can just make out the blur of a little wing beating - he was having a go a flying. You'd have to have a heart of stone to resist that.
