Wednesday 16 May 2012: Double Take
Struggled with a blip today - gone 10pm. Wandering around the house trying to find something, then I saw my (2nd) favourite picture, a memory of a special day. No not our wedding, but the 1985 British Motorcycle Grand Prix at Silverstone, when Freddie Spencer won both the 250cc and 500cc races (in the rain). We sat in the grandstand, and even there got soaking wet and freezing cold! This is a numbered print of a painting by Nicholas Watts, signed by Fast Freddie and the artist - a much prized possession.
