Thursday 17 May 2012: Snackatoo
At home today. Kids disturbed our sleep t the point that I didn't think I would be safe to drive to Lithgow and back - especially back, in the afternoon. The way I felt this afternoon bore that out pretty clearly too.
So, being at home, I heard this noisy thing up in the trees, so switched lenses and snapped away. I rather like the way it has its leg crossed in from of itself grasping the seed-thingy it's munching on.
I did need to crop it, even at full zoom, and I also sharpened a touch, and pulled down the luminance curve for everything except the bird. Oh, and I increased contrast - and brightness to accommodate - on the head, beak, leg, and grasped noms.
