Thursday 17 May 2012: Crumbs
Couldn't resist blipping Anna after school, as she scoffed a couple of Hob Nobs and watched CBBC. Note the crumbs down her shirt, despite her mummy being a neat freak who gives her a bowl to eat over ;)
Today started with a nice Costa in Four Oaks with my friend Ju, and ended with a surprise present from Bradybird, which I'm really pleased with! A future blip, I think :) Thanks Lucie x
We finally have the results of Matt's cookery class for dinner tonight - and very nice it looks too. I've always got the kids to help me cook. I've even got a photo of a baby Matthew, sat in his high chair, covered head-to-toe in flour, wooden spoon in hand!
Matt prefers making dinner stuff - he makes lovely bolognese - whilst Anna's the cupcake queen. He shows great interest, and as I spent two thoroughly enjoyable years at catering college, I really want to encourage this hobby. When I used to visit Paul at Staffs Uni, his 'cooking' was dreadful. Sausage and bacon stir-fry with Heinz tomato sauce, anyone?! Yuck.
If I don't teach them anything else, my kids will be able to cook a decent meal long before they leave home :)
