Thursday 17 May 2012: Finally - a Goldfinch
OK so it's a baby but it's still a Goldfinch!
Got home from work to find this little cutie sitting on the feeder pole making an awful lot of noise.
Roughly translated I think he was saying, "Oi!! Will someone please come and feed me!"
There was no sign of Mum and Dad so I think they were trying to persuade junior that he can start fending for himself. Not sure he's too keen, though he clearly knows where he can find some food.
Not a lot else to report from today. Had a bad headache for most of it and teaching 7 year olds is not helped by a headache!!
