Thursday 17 May 2012: Our neighbour
This Northern Goshawk has a nest in the forest behind the allotment.
This was the first day of a four-day-weekend, and we really had a gorgeous day. Weather was mostly sunny and we had temperatures around +16°C. It was time to mow the lawn and trim the lawn edges for the first time this season. We also did some serious weeding, almost finished the new path to the compost corner and moved some perennials to better places.
The daffodils are now peaking - still a few to come, but the first are going. It's such a wonderful time of the year!
