The Vatican

After a breakfast in the continental style, we took a tour bus half way across Rome, to see some of the sites in comfort after our day of travel. We stopped off at the Vatican to see La Basilica di San Pietro and to send post cards to the grandparents. Then it was time to haggle over lunch before more sightseeing. We next stopped at the Trevi Fountain, found to be under wraps for renovation - most disappointing, before concluding the day at the Spanish Steps.
