The Way I See Things

By JDO

Dawn

There was a dramatic pink and yellow dawn this morning - this is just before the sun broke over Sheen Hill, when the colours were fading down.

I'm glad I went out at daybreak, because it was definitely the best part of the day - it's now dark, cloudy, windy and cold. I received an amber aurora alert from the University of Lancaster today, which means that the Northern Lights may be visible tonight over Scotland and northern England - but even if we were far enough north there would be no point in me going out aurora hunting with the thick cloud we now have. I hope that some other people might be luckier!
