Barbed wire and fish treats

I had a scary experience today, when I took the boys out. We had a good training session and once we were done, we wanted to finish with a walk, before going home.

The boys ran and played and had fun, when Hero suddenly stopped moving and just stood there. I went to check if he was ok and it turned out that he had tangled a big piece of barbed wire into his fur.

The barbed wire was dirty and rusty and it was stuck to his hindleg.I was so worried that it would cut into his thigh and maybe damage muscles or ligaments. I couldn't get it untangled, so I had to put the boys back on lead and walk very slowly and carefully back to the car to get some scissors.

We managed to get back to the car and the boys were so good. Biscuit and Beat stayed in a down, whilst I worked on getting Hero free. Luckily it looks like his big coat saved him from injury - the fur got tangled into the spikes like a layer of cotton wool, so they didn't cause damage. Thank Goodness Hero was sensible and stood still, when he felt the barbed wire around his leg.

When Blipbear arrived a couple of days ago, he came with a bag of yummy fish treats. Thank you Rip and Roo for sending them to Denmark. We decided that it was just what we needed after our scary walk! The boys say they are delicious!

Usually we would not dare to take fish away from a Polar Bear, but as you can see, Blipbear is rather laid back about it.

It has been a stormy night - I woke up several times during the night. It seems calmer now, but still a rough and windy weather. Brrrrrrrrrr...

Happy Sunday, Blipland.
