Frogs and tadpoles

This green frog was enjoying its little pond on this fine spring afternoon. He would make his "glug" noises. Or perhaps another one did. There were lots off black tadpoles which I'm pretty sure are toad offspring. Frogs' offspring are browner and are pollywogs. I blipped them from here nearly a year ago. This wee pond is not in the woods or a field but next to a parking lot for the local school board.

We have a FrogWatch program in Canada where we can report sightings or soundings so researchers can gather data from the public on populations. It also tracks ice, plants, and worms.
