Saturday 19 May 2012: The Birthday Party
I don't do effects like this very often and I've never blipped such a radically altered image before, but I wasn't very happy with any of the shots I took at Alexander and Simone's birthday party this afternoon. It's very late and I've decided that I quite like this one like this. I adjusted the curves and then posterised it for good measure.
Here's a happy but thoughtful little two-year-old enjoying her rainbow-striped 'Dora the Explorer' cake (clever Mummy!).
A marvellous time was had by all, the bouncy castle received a good thrashing and Immy provided some great face-painting. The hit of the day was the "VERY BIG SHARK!" on Alexander's cheek. Simone couldn't wait the 90 seconds required to paint Dora on hers!
