Defending the larder

Definitely not a good bird photograph, but I wanted to capture this female blackbird as she fiercely defended one of the last clusters of crab apples. She drove a male blackbird away a number of times this morning. I'm afraid it was taken through the window, hand-held, at the maximum range of the zoom and in poor light...so I'm tempted to describe it as 'atmospheric'. I need to work harder at capturing the birds in the garden.
