Lake Tekapo

Arrived here after an exciting drive through some beautiful scenery. Feels funny and very lazy driving an automatic van, it's going to create some bad habits! 

Lake Tekapo is well know for being one of the best places in the world to star gaze, New Zealand is known as 'the land of the long white cloud' so I didn't have my hopes up. But we saw a gentle sunset and then got treated to an epic light show of stars and the milky, the shortish window just before the moon rose was the best for visibility, stunning.
