Presents from India

Luckily today has been a little cooler with 27c, yesterday was just too hot for me. It looks as if we are going to get rain on the first few days of our trip down south. I do have a date for Wanaka now, as we have booked our accommodation in Queenstown. We will arrive in Wanaka on the January 28 for two days or maybe three. It all depends on the weather. We leave first thing tomorrow and spend a couple of days in Dunedin before heading to Invercargill then to Te Anau.

This is a collage of some of the gifts Jamie brought me back from India.
The top left corner shot is of the certification for the beautiful Pashmina Shawl.

Pashmina is a type of fine cashmere wool. The textiles made from it were first woven in India. The name comes from Persian: pašmina, meaning "made from wool". The wool comes from Changthanigi or Pashmina goat which is a special breed of  goat indigenous to high altitudes of the Himalayas in India, Nepal and Pakistan. Pashmina shawls are hand spun, woven and embroidered in Nepal and Kashmir, and made from fine cashmere fibre.

The top right is a lovely silk scarf with some of my favorite colour. The box is a puzzle box that takes a bit to get into!

They are all beautiful and I am so lucky to have them.
