Blue Monday

Apparently, according to Herself, this is 'Blue Monday' - the most depressing day of the year in the Northern hemisphere. They got that right then - it's wet, cold and miserable outside.

Having been a little trigger-happy recently in making over-hopeful low bids on e-bay for classic Pentax lenses, I actually won an auction and my bounty was delivered today.

An Asahi Pentax Takumar SMC 135mm 3.5 lens with it's original case and hood but unfortunately no lens cap - but the lens-caps go for nearly as much as the lenses because they are rarer. The lens probably dates from around 1971.

Here is a test with the lens at closest focus. The adapter plus the crop sensor add up to an effective focal length of around 220mm. A fair bit of processing required, but I'm happy.
