Distant hills

I left home on the bike around 2.45 intending to have a circuitous run up to the top of Calton Hill where I would then duly capture a dramatic sunset. Unfortunately, by the time I was coming along Regent Road at about 3.30, the sun was rapidly disappearing behind an inconvenient bank of grey cloud plonked on the western horizon. I dodged into the New Calton Burial Ground and took a quick blip of the Old Town, the Parliament, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Arthur's Seat. Given how cold it was, plans to cycle up Calton Hill - well as near to the top as I can get on the bike - were abandoned for the day.
