Sunday 20 May 2012: Walking with lions
I have planned something a week in advance and it even panned out! The weather was perfect for a day trip to Monarto Zoo - the largest (1450 hectare, they haven't updated this on their website yet, but recently acquired a bit more to add onto the park) in the world open- range sanctuary. Lots of African animals, they go well with South Australian landscape and climate. It is one of those places where for once you don't feel sorry for the animals in captivity. A very rare occurrence.
I have been spoilt for choice today and decided to go with this sweet lioness. I spared you another one devouring a freshly caught rabbit (a real, out of a warren rabbit, not a ready made frozen meal one).
