Sunday 20 May 2012: Road to "Ah"

"God is the experience of looking at a tree and saying, 'Ah!' "
~ Joseph Campbell

When weeding my flowers beds, I pulled-up a sapling with an attached walnut. I had never thought before about how a walnut takes root and becomes a tree. Amazed by it, I blipped the walnut and sapling root yesterday. I'm also mesmerized by the black walnut tree that towers over our backyard. Majestic, at least 80 feet tall, the tree houses countless birds, squirrels, perhaps, possum in its branches. Whether it's spring or winter, this tree maintains its strength, its hospitality, and its beauty. It's a constant, nature's road to god.
