Sunday 20 May 2012: Dancing with Clouds
Usually driving to the lake is a silent adventure but occasionally, and today being one of those occasionally days, I listen to music. Josh Groban has been the choice as of late (I always seem to come back round to him - such an amazing voice!). So with my new special thermos of coffee in hand I drove past field after field of fog with Josh at top volume and me, of course, singing along (rather well I might add).
In my mind's eye I could see Josh by the lakefront with full orchestra and choir behind him singing one of my all time favorite songs. I of course would be snapping away between singing along (quite well I might add once again) and dancing along the shore, rock to rock with great ease and grace (truly a stretch of the imagination).
But in reality the music is hushed as I approach the access where I see the one regular white station wagon and a fisherman getting his boat into the water. With coffee and camera in hand I take a place by the shore and decide to just hang there today - at the access instead of flitting about from spot to spot.
I stayed longer than usual and got handfuls of wonderful shots. I have decided to spend more time at this magical location in order to expand my collection of sunrise photographs. I do hope you don't tire of my dawn adventures, even if it is just me without Josh.
I chose today's Blip because it is not the most dramatic, it is not the cleverest, but it is truly representative of the sights and emotions and magic of the morning. ...I have tweaked the contrast ever so so slightly.
The best of the 500 shots taken today are here on Flickr. Only a few I might add! Just a handful..
