Sunday 20 May 2012: Zen Pond

The Fringe Floral Fair at Bignor Park, near Pulborough, gave us a rare chance to walk round the grounds as well as explore some super craft and plant stalls. Beautiful garden artifacts in abundance, all beyond our purse. The gardens had some unusual sculptures and lovely views, but the thing that caught my eye was the peaceful Zen pond, shaped like half a Yin-Yang symbol. Very calming and no traffic noise, unusual in Sussex wherever you are.

Reminded me of Basho's Old Pond, said to be the most famous of all haiku.
