Sunday 20 May 2012: Sunny Sunday

Exactly what it says on the tin lol

Woke to a beautiful day, a chilly wind but nothing a couple of layers wouldn't fix.
Decided that we'd have a proper roast dinner so between us we got that started and let the birds out.

Once lunch was done & eaten I headed out in to the garden with the mower to get the back & front lawns cut. Then I swapped over & jumped on the ride on to do in the wood.
Had a slight problem with Gem the dog standing right behind me when I had to turn round in a small area that slopes! Ended up jumping off putting it in free wheel mode and heaving it out of a rut, needless to say Gem was in the dog house briefly!

Once it was all done (basically now) I am doing this then going to grab an hour on the sofa before tea.

Had some news that one of the other girls who started the job at the same time as me has decided it's not the job for her. That's 2 gone now and leaving 5 of us to do 24/7. Can see shifts swapping before my very eyes. I shall miss her (the girl that's left) she used to live very close to me before I moved here and her children went to the same school as me, it gave us things in common.
I hope she stays in touch, she's promised she will :o)

The blip for today was taken when I let the birds out this morning. Merlin is actually on a slope and twice did the sort of roll to the bottom that we have all done as children. Looks more funny done by a cat though and he didn't get shouted at to watch for grass stains and other un-mentionables that he might have rolled through, he is after all old enough to know what he's doing lol

So I'm off, hope you have all had the same weather as us & that you enjoy a lovely relaxing Sunday evening :o)
