Just out for a quick nibble

We went up to the allotment again, only just starting to make some sort of impression on the work that's needed, but at least the sun was shining. There was still a stiff breeze from the east, mind. It was nice to see Mr and Mrs Fish and wee Nina, who is without question the finest piece of produce from the allotment site so far this year.

Then we got on a bus and headed over to the Figgy (Figgate Park + pond!) to see what was going on. There was some very aggressive behaviour from a pair of swans who were harassing a family of Canada geese - they even charged at the goslings and submerged them but of course they eventually bobbed up like a pair of corks, none the worse for wear. Don't know what all that was about.

Mr H spotted this baby rabbit, across on the other side of the little burn. I was reminded lewis417's comment on the Shetland foals - "probably the warmest morning of their life so far". Bunny was enjoying the novelty of the sun's warmth and trying out some fresh new salad greens....
