View up Longdendale

This view is looking east up Longdendale east towards Yorkshire, the route of the Woodhead Pass.

The 'blot on the landsape' in the middle distance is called 'tin city' by the more polite locals. Personally I think if they painted the buildings green/khaki or even a millstone grit colour they would disappear into the landscape. Its so difficult to understand how the Council Planning works.

The snow has disappeared overnight but the temperature has not improved. I got chilled to the bone taking this even with woolly hat & padded jacket.

I must go back to this spot in Spring to investigate this area further.
