Safely grazing

Still a few loop walks to do before we can start updating the Sheepshead book, and all of them are quite hefty. The Barnagheey walk didn't look too long at around 8km and the weather seemed promising so we gave it a go. As you can see we were up high and it was pretty breezy, just sheep for company. It's a good walk - through forestry, over bogland, massive views all around. There was still a little snow on the distant mountains in Kerry but here all was lushly green and damp.

The polo neck/school uniform discussions made me laugh - and who can remember dungarees (preferably worn with rainbow jersey underneath); midi skirts (my granny was horrified); maxi dresses (granny horrified again - too moumou whatever that meant) and my favourite dress ever : a wonderful tent like garment purchased from Laura Ashley, a pinafore that flared out in tiers from above the bust and floated voluminously all the way down to my feet. This was worn with a blouse that had a sailor collar and covered a multitude of sins, I loved it! And then there was the Ophelia phase ....
