OUTBACK AUSTRALIA ....Back When #37....

... in fact March 1978, the mighty Nepean River in flood!

With all the wonderful rain over the last two days, I reflected on these shots of the river bursting its banks on the western side just North of the M4 freeway bridge you can see in the back ground there.

This used to happen fairly regularly with heavy rain, but Government and Councils (info of floods in Penrith) have done quite a bit of work (including an extended spillway on Warragamba Dam) and with drought etc we have not experienced this since 1990.

This is a back blip, as my planned shot as I was processing late last night decided to go "corrupt" and lost the pics, and of course I had already wiped card!!!
