Some lucky people on planet earth witnessed an annular solar eclipse today. For us in Sacramento, it occurred around 6:30 PM local time.

We didn't have the special glasses that allowed for direct staring at the sun. However, turn your binoculars around and focus the light onto a piece of paper. This is what you get....
